The County Government of Nandi has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Moi Teaching and Referral Hospital (MTRH).
The MoU covers various aspects relating to healthcare between the two entities.
Speaking during the signing ceremony, Dr. Daniel Kiprono Kemboi, County Director of Health-Nandi County, said that he looks forward to a long-standing value-adding partnership with MTRH adding this would greatly benefit the people of Nandi County.
“Residents of Nandi County have a reason to smile. They will benefit a lot from this MoU with MTRH,” he said shortly after exchanging the document with MTRH CEO, Dr. Wilson K. Aruasa, on Thursday 10th August, 2017 at the CEOs office.
Nandi County is the third County, to sign the MoU, after Uasin Gishu and Elgeyo Marakwet Counties.
Dr. Aruasa urged other Counties in Western Kenya and beyond to sign similar pacts with MTRH.
“Our doors are always open to partnerships. We will sign MoUs even if it means coming to your County.” 
MTRH has been holding Counties’ Fora annually which bring together at least 20 Counties to discuss broad-ranging issues in healthcare with their host MTRH.
